Top London Attractions > The Tate Modern

The Tate Modern is the UK’s national gallery for international modern art, and is the most-visited modern art gallery in the world, with around 4.7 million visitors per year.

The galleries are housed in the impressive former Bankside Power Station, which was originally designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and was later converted by architects Herzog & de Meuron. The Tate Modern houses collections from some of the world’s foremost artists from 1900 to the present day, and its temporary exhibitions from contemporary artists are an important part of the modern art scene, and a must-see for any art lover in London.
